We used every one of them

Every semester. EVERY semester that I can remember - high school, too - I've made a commitment during exams. I tell myself that I am going to study. Yes, guys, I do study. In this case, I mean hardcore studying - real studying - platonic studying. You know?! Pencils sharpened, paper ready, Facebook & Twitter off, and books open.

I check blogs and other websites to find the latest studying tips. I fall victim to organizing, mostly for the purpose of procrastination. I get it together. But, it doesn't work. It never does. Studying, like so many things is not a weeklong thing that happens at the end of every semester. It is a continual process that you must participate in every day.

I came across a quote from Walt Disney today. Disneyland was built in 366 days. When asked, "How did you get it done in 366 days?" Walt simply replied, "We used every one of them."

Days have worth. Use them. Work hard. It's out of hard work that we find success. And all the sharpened pencils and study tips blogs aren't going to help at all. You'd think I've learned. It's tough, though, but I'll get there, one of these semesters.
