A significant number of contemporary Jews are without core religious beliefs, like God’s existence, divine revelation, and ultimate judgment, but still identify themselves with Judaism, although as questioners. American Jews are far more likely to be secular in their beliefs and actions than Orthodox, observant, or traditional. During this Sunday brunch, Professor Herb Silverman will speak to that reality and maintain that Humanistic Judaism is a viable and growing alternative and that the Jewish organizational structure should reflect that growing reality.
