College of Charleston’s student operated radio station, CofCRadio will host their first music event of the fall semester, LUX on Friday, October, 23 at Eye Level Art, 103 Spring Street. The event, beginning at 8:00 p.m., will feature a performance by local band Stella by Starlight. In addition, LUX will showcase music sets by local DJs, and impromptu create-your-own art.
“We hope to light up the night with LUX,” Geoff Yost, general manager of CofCRadio, said. “The event will bring art and music together for a really fun evening.”
Stella by Starlight is an American electro-pop band originally from Durham, North Carolina. Founded in 2006, the band has quickly become recognized for their unique performance. In 2007, Stella by Starlight won MTV’s Woodie Award for Best Music On Campus. After relocating to Charleston, Stella by Starlight remains a favorite local band comprised of founding member Nathan Fowler and recently added “glam guitarist” Katie Peterson.
Tickets are $5 for patrons over 21 and $7 for those over 18. Tickets will be sold at the door; no advance tickets will be sold. The Friday evening event will be held at Eye Level Art’s gallery at 103 Spring Street.
