Baseball faced yet another tough series of games, managing only one win over the course of four games in the past week.

The first loss came at the hands of #4 South Carolina on Tues., March 22. The Gamecocks (14-4, 3-2 SEC) pummeled the Cougars for a 24-4 win. The Gamecocks took an impressive lead in the bottom of the second with seven runs, thanks in part to two home runs.

As if one huge inning wasn’t enough, USC did it again in the third, scoring eight runs on the back of Adam Matthews’s grand slam, bringing the lead to 15-0 going into the fourth inning.
