Rafael Nadal: A Tennis Warrior.

Sports is one of the best ways to assemble a vibrant crowed. Sports games are tricky, sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. However, I happen to know that the beauty of a game isn’t about who wins or loses, but who plays a great game with style. I learned this lesson after watching one of favorite tennis players, Rafael Nadal.

Compared to Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic or Andy Murray, who have all been number one on the ATP chart (Association of Tennis Professionals), Rafael Nadal is a tennis player whose game has a strong imprint in the world of tennis and who sets himself apart from other tennis players with his unique style.

Originally from Spain, Nadal started playing tennis at the age of three. Following years of hard work, Nadal became a pro tennis player by 15. His talent was first noticed by his uncle Toni Nadal, a former professional tennis player and now his coach. Nadal continued to rise and has taken on big titles like Roland Garros, Wimbledon and several ATP World Tour Series. His hard work landed him the number one spot on the ATP in 2008, 2010 and 2013. He faced a few setbacks the following years but is now back at number one as of last year. While he has a lot of victories, what makes Nadal an exceptional tennis player is his fierceness and beautiful playing technique.

Many might argue that Nadal gets way more credit than he deserves. Compared to his biggest rival, Roger Federer, Nadal has managed to make tennis more than just a game. Nadal proved that it isn’t the prize that matters, it’s what makes the player memorable.

When Nadal starts a game he stays focused. He has a strong presence that makes spectators curious to see what he is capable of. He inherited the title of the king of clay in 2005 and hasn’t lost it ever since. He has an extremely strong serve – one that easily intimidates any opponent. He is very fast, likes to play from the deep court. He has a strong two handed backhand which enables him to add more force to his cross-court. To top it all off, he never slows his game down until the match is over. He starts with energy and ends with energy.

As the current number one tennis player in the world, Nadal deserves every bit of recognition he gets. What makes him number one isn’t just his mastery of tennis, or the fact that his competition can’t outshine him. It’s because he makes every game a pleasure to watch. Nadal is a strong player and is clearly passionate about tennis, which is clear for all to see.
