Isle of Palms Police Department investigates tanks on beach

On the morning of Wednesday, Feb 22, three mysterious tanks washed up on an Isle of Palms beach. The massive tanks prompted calls from residents to the Isle of Palms Police Department, which quickly blocked off the scene.

According to a tweet from the Isle of Palms Police Department, the owner of the tanks began to remove them from the beach with a tugboat by 11 a.m. All three ballast tanks were removed from the beach by Wednesday evening.
