Yet another fraternity chapter closed

On Friday evening, Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life Sarah Jane Franciscus announced via email that the College of Charleston chapter of Sigma Nu has been shut down due to “violations of the Sigma Nu Fraternity Code and College of Charleston policies.” Franciscus encouraged students to report any ongoing activity under the name Sigma Nu to the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, or to the national organization.

This is the third fraternity to be closed this fall. Alpha Epsilon Pi and Kappa Alpha were closed earlier this year after allegations of sexual assault and misconduct emerged.
