Whether you wanted to add some sparkle to your dorm room or just wanted to spend time with friends, CAB Craft Night was the place to be. On Thursday, Sept. 4, the Cougar Activities Board loaded up the Stern Center with mason jars, canvases, paint, ribbon, and most importantly, glitter. CAB Craft Night was in full swing by 8:00 that Thursday night! There were people everywhere, and by the time I got there, all of the supplies and food had been exhausted. Everyone was sitting with their friends and meeting new people all while getting creative. It’s safe to say that it was a very successful event.
I had a chance to sit down with two of the members of CAB, Vanessa Johansen-Barrera, Vice President, and Wanda Willis, Fun Fridays Chair, and they let me in on a few of their upcoming events. If you write poetry or just love to hear your peer’s work, CAB is hosting a Poetry Night at Kudu on Wednesday, Sept. 24 from 8 -10 p.m. (who doesn’t love Kudu’s coffee and hot chocolate?) The Cougar Activities Board has events for everyone. If you have an idea for CAB, they love hearing from other students. Member meetings are every Monday from 4:30-5:30 in the Stern Center Room 409. If you have a scheduling conflict, email any concerns you have to CAB@cofc.edu and they will work with you.
